Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to House Bill 2610 changes the amount of tax credit available for nonrecurring adoption expenses, which may include various costs related to the adoption process like fees, medical expenses, and travel costs. This modification aims to make it easier for adoptive parents to manage the financial burden associated with adopting a child. By increasing this credit, the bill seeks to promote adoption and support families who are expanding their households through this process.
