Plain-language change summary

The amendments to SB 447 now allow the foraging of edible fungi on state-owned or managed property, specifically for personal consumption. The bill clarifies that foraging is restricted for threatened or endangered plants, and it maintains the requirement for certified crops as outlined previously. This change broadens opportunities for individuals interested in foraging while still protecting vulnerable plant species. Overall, this revision supports both recreational activities and conservation efforts.
