Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 940 introduces a requirement for a comprehensive statewide plan to manage harmful woody species on state lands, including their control, removal, and eradication. It also mandates a report from various state departments by January 1, 2026, detailing the current situation and plans for addressing these species. These changes are significant because they establish a coordinated effort among state agencies to tackle an environmental issue that could impact agriculture, conservation, and recreation in Oklahoma.
