The latest version of Senate Bill 60 makes some changes to how Oklahoma determines taxable income for both individuals and corporations. Specifically, it clarifies that certain interest income from state or local obligations will now be included in taxable income unless previously exempted by other laws. This change is important because it may affect the amount of income some taxpayers report, potentially impacting their tax liability. Overall, this amendment aims to create a clearer tax structure for future tax years.
