Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Bill HB 4170, the language specifying unlawful acts related to oil and gas theft has been clarified and made more concise. The revisions focus on detailing the types of equipment and materials that are considered unlawful to take, reinforcing the seriousness of these offenses. This matters because clearer definitions can help law enforcement better address oil and gas theft, which is a significant concern in the industry. By enhancing the bill's specificity, it aims to strengthen protection for property owners and deter potential crimes.
