Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 1663 adds provisions to allow for an online process for the sale of property due to unpaid property taxes. This change aims to make it easier and more efficient for both counties and property owners to navigate tax sales and property redemptions. It also clarifies that the property owner's right to redeem their property remains intact right up until the auction starts, ensuring that they have the opportunity to settle their debts without losing their property. These changes are significant because they modernize the tax sale process and help protect property owners in distress.
