Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 690 clarifies how earned credits can be reduced for inmates in state correctional facilities. Specifically, it states that credits may be lost based on recommendations from a disciplinary committee, but they can also be restored with approval from the warden or superintendent. This change is significant because it establishes a more structured process for managing inmate credits, potentially impacting their time served and encouraging good behavior.
