Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Senate Bill 369 update the language in Oklahoma's assault and battery laws, specifically concerning offenses against police officers and other peace officers. The changes clarify the definitions and expand the list of individuals protected under this law to include highway patrol officers and corrections personnel. This matters because it strengthens legal protections for law enforcement and aims to deter violence against those who are serving in these critical public safety roles.
