Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Senate Bill 4 includes a specific list of substances that will be prohibited in food products, including aspartame, azodicarbonamide, and blue dye 1, starting from January 2027 for food products and 2028 for ingestible drugs. This change is significant because it sets clear guidelines on what artificial ingredients will be banned, aiming to improve public health and safety. By explicitly naming these substances, the law provides better transparency for consumers and holds producers accountable for food safety standards.
