Plain-language change summary

The latest version of SB 169 expands the eligibility for longevity pay to include more state employees while removing previous exclusions for various groups such as public school district employees and elected officials. This change is important because it recognizes the contributions of a broader range of state workers, potentially improving morale and retention. Additionally, the bill updates statutory references and increases longevity pay amounts, which directly benefits those who have dedicated long service to state employment.
