The amendment updates the requirements for payment of interest by independent State authorities and contracting units. It establishes that interest must be paid on the amount due 60 calendar days from either the specified contract date or the receipt of a properly executed invoice or goods/services, whichever is later, and clarifies that interest is only applicable when goods and services are rendered. This change ensures consistent payment timelines for businesses providing goods or services to the State.
