Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 4342 specifies that in cases of domestic violence or abuse, evidence of past related offenses can be used in court. Additionally, it requires the prosecution to disclose this evidence to the defendant 15 days before the trial begins, unless the court permits a later disclosure for good reasons. These changes aim to ensure that defendants are well-informed about the evidence against them, promoting fairness in the legal process.
