The bill SB 1847 has been amended to change the eligibility criteria for the ADvantage Waiver Program, which provides Medicaid home- and community-based services. With this amendment, individuals aged 19 to 64 can qualify if they are physically disabled but also specifies that they should not have an intellectual disability or cognitive impairment. This change is significant as it broadens access for some physically disabled adults, potentially allowing more people to receive necessary support and services.
