Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 1796 introduce clearer definitions related to temporary care arrangements for foster children, specifically concerning "alternate caregivers." These changes explicitly outline the roles and qualifications required for individuals who briefly take on parenting duties to allow foster parents some relief. This matters because it aims to ensure that the care provided during these temporary arrangements is safe and regulated, ultimately benefiting the foster children involved.
