Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 1198 introduces the option for county treasurers to conduct property resale auctions online instead of only in-person. This change allows for greater flexibility in how these auctions are held, potentially making it easier for more people to participate and bid. By allowing online auctions during regular business hours, the bill aims to increase transparency and accessibility for bidders. This update matters because it modernizes the auction process and could lead to better outcomes for counties looking to sell real estate.
