The latest version of HB 2947 clarifies definitions related to behavioral health clinical interns and specifies the types of clinical training programs they must be enrolled in. This change is important because it establishes clear standards for training, which could enhance the quality of care provided by interns. By expanding the Medicaid program's scope of practice for these interns, the bill aims to improve access to behavioral health services for those in need.
