Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 2170 clarifies the definition and purpose of "supervised visitation" to ensure it prioritizes the child's health and safety. It emphasizes that when the court orders supervised visitation, it is crucial to have a responsible third party present during the visit. This change matters because it aims to protect children, especially in situations involving potentially harmful circumstances, like past abuse, ensuring a safer environment during parent-child interactions.
