The latest version of Bill SB 1829 has made some important changes regarding the excise tax on manufactured homes. It clarifies that anyone purchasing a new or used manufactured home will have to pay this tax when applying for a title, unless they meet specific criteria outlined in a new subsection. This change is relevant because it ensures that certain manufactured homes may be exempt from the tax, which could help make home ownership more affordable for some buyers.
