The revised version of Bill SB 484 has removed a requirement for certain notifications about domestic violence shelters to be made before they can be approved in specific locations. This change simplifies the process for establishing such shelters, which is important because it aims to make it easier for victims of domestic violence to access immediate help and housing. By streamlining the approval process, the bill seeks to ensure that more resources are available to support victims when they need it most.
