The recent amendment to Bill SB 301 updates the income tax credit for donations to biomedical and cancer research institutes. It adjusts the annual credit cap to ensure it does not exceed $2 million, making the process clearer and potentially boosting donations. This matters as it encourages more support for critical research, which can lead to advancements in healthcare and treatment options.
