Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 652 modifies the scheduling of elections in Oklahoma by changing the permissible dates. Notably, it specifies that elections can be held on the second Tuesday of February, the first Tuesday of April, any regularly scheduled statewide or federal election in even-numbered years, and the third Tuesday of June in odd-numbered years. These changes aim to provide clearer guidelines for when elections can be scheduled, potentially enhancing voter participation and organizational efficiency for local governments.
