Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 6 has been updated to change the election dates for school board members. Now, the general elections will take place on the first Tuesday of April every year, instead of just in odd-numbered years, and the primary elections will also be held at different times. This change matters because it ensures that school board elections occur more consistently, potentially increasing voter participation and making it easier for communities to stay engaged in local education governance.
