Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill SB 377 updates the terminology used in the Equipment Manufacturers, Distributors, Wholesalers, and Dealers Act, specifically concerning how "current net parts price" is defined. The adjustment clarifies that this price refers to repair parts based on the supplier's most recent price list at the time a dealer agreement ends or when parts are ordered. These changes matter because they provide clearer guidelines for pricing practices, which can help dealers understand their rights and responsibilities regarding parts pricing after any contractual changes.
