Plain-language change summary

The amendments to HB 1011 primarily increase the funding allocated to the North Dakota securities department, specifically adding approximately $274,224 for salaries and wages and $58,172 for a new and vacant FTE (full-time equivalent) pool. Additionally, there is a reduction in operating expenses by $113,259. These changes matter because they provide more financial resources to the department to enhance staff compensation and management, potentially improving their efficiency and effectiveness in overseeing securities regulation during the upcoming biennium.
