The recent amendment to Senate Bill 2211 includes various updates to the attorney recruitment and retention program in North Dakota. One significant change is the emphasis on conducting assessments of local communities' needs and their ability to sustain an attorney, which helps ensure the program effectively targets areas that require legal support. This is important because it aims to strengthen the legal resources available in rural counties and municipalities, potentially improving access to justice for residents in those areas.
