The recent amendment to Senate Bill 896 updates the fiscal provisions for the Personal Care Services Program (PCS) and the Community Alternatives Program for Children (CAP/C). Specifically, it clarifies that funds for the 2026-2027 fiscal year will be used to raise the payment rate to $7.50 per 15-minute service. This change is significant because it aims to improve compensation for caregivers, which can enhance the quality of care provided to children in these programs.
