Plain-language change summary

The recent version of House Bill 932 includes an update that focuses on the funding and implementation of pay increases for first responders, specifically mentioning that the salary increase must be used solely for that purpose. This change is significant because it ensures that the funds designated for salary hikes cannot be spent on administrative costs, thereby maximizing the benefits received by first responders. Additionally, the bill clarifies that these salary increases will be included in future salary calculations, positively impacting retirement contributions and long-term earnings for eligible employees.
