The latest version of Senate Bill 239 includes a clarification regarding how Local Management Entities/Managed Care Organizations (LME/MCOs) can recover funds associated with rate increases they provide to service providers. Specifically, it states that LME/MCOs "may recoup part or all" of these funds, reinforcing the flexibility they have in this process. This change is important because it can impact how funding flows to service providers and ensures that organizations have the ability to manage their financial resources effectively.
