In the latest version of Senate Bill 1002, minor wording adjustments were made to clarify guidelines for grant awards in the entertainment industry. Specifically, language was streamlined regarding the production company's qualifying expenses and the percentage of filming required in specific areas of the state. These changes are significant because they aim to make the grant process more straightforward for production companies, potentially encouraging more film projects to take place in North Carolina, thereby boosting the local economy.
