Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill HB 1121 includes a few key changes, primarily in how certain sections are structured and numbered. Notably, language regarding the record-keeping requirements for sexually oriented businesses has been clarified, ensuring that their daily records won't include personal customer information. Additionally, the requirements for annual reporting by the North Carolina Council for Women have been simplified, focusing on collecting and disbursing fee information. These changes matter because they help enhance privacy protections for customers and streamline the reporting process, making it easier for oversight of the fund intended to support sexual assault and rape crisis services.
