The amendments to Bill SB 874 primarily involve adding specific language regarding fire suppression systems and the licensing process for related firms. Notably, the new provisions clarify what is required for professionals and companies that perform inspections, including the necessity of holding valid licenses and permits. This matters because it enhances accountability and ensures that only trained and licensed individuals are responsible for fire safety inspections, which can potentially lead to safer environments.
