In the revised version of HB 1102, the language was clarified concerning landlords' responsibilities for fuel gas detectors in rental units. Specifically, the new text emphasizes that landlords must keep the detectors in working condition and respond promptly to notices about any deficiencies. This change is significant because it aims to enhance tenant safety by ensuring that fuel gas detectors are properly maintained and promptly addressed, thereby reducing the risk of gas leaks or related hazards.
