The updated version of SB 109 has clarified that disabled veterans can still receive tax relief even if they do not own a permanent home when they apply for prequalification. This change is important because it makes it easier for disabled veterans to access financial benefits, ensuring that they are not penalized for their housing situation. By simplifying the requirements, the bill aims to provide more support to those who have served in the military.
