Plain-language change summary

The latest version of House Bill 564 includes two key changes related to retirement allowance increases. First, it confirms a 2% increase for beneficiaries whose retirement began on or before July 1, 2024, starting on July 1, 2025. Additionally, it introduces a new provision for those whose retirement starts between January 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025, which will see their increase calculated proportionally. These adjustments are important because they aim to provide additional financial support to retirees at a time when they may be facing economic pressures.
