In the updated version of Senate Bill 142, the language has been clarified by specifying "Mecklenburg Council of Elders" and correcting the formatting around the county name. These changes help ensure that the bill clearly identifies the target group and the location for the grant funding aimed at raising awareness of elder rights. This clarification matters because it ensures the intended recipients of the grant are well-defined and supports effective implementation of the program.
