The legislative amendments to SB 660 made several changes to the language regarding property tax exemptions for disabled veterans. Notably, it emphasizes that a motor vehicle owned by a veteran with a 100% disability rating is now included in the exclusion criteria. This is significant because it broadens the benefits available to veterans, potentially easing their financial burdens related to property taxes. The amendments also clarify deadlines and procedures for counties regarding reimbursements, ensuring that the rules are straightforward and easier to follow.
