What changed in the latest version
21 added · 20 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of House Bill 892 includes clearer language about supporting participants in a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training program by allowing funds to be directly paid to local hotels or motels for those trainees who need financial assistance and live far from the training site. Importantly, the funding amount remains the same at $2.5 million for the upcoming fiscal year. This change is significant because it enhances accessibility for individuals who want to pursue CDL training but may struggle with related lodging costs, potentially increasing the number of qualified drivers in the workforce.
