Plain-language change summary

The updated version of House Bill 941 now has more detailed language regarding the funding sources for the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program Trust Fund, specifying that funds can come from appropriations, repayments, and interest earnings. Additionally, it clarifies that the money in the Trust Fund is intended to help students complete teacher education programs in key subject areas such as social studies and English. This change is important because it ensures that the program can attract and support qualified teachers in critical licensure areas, helping to address shortages in North Carolina's public schools.
