The recent changes to Bill HB 71 include the addition of more specific definitions and clarifications regarding respiratory care practices. Notably, terms like "endorsement" for advanced procedures and "medical director" roles have been defined to establish clear guidelines on who can perform certain tests and oversee care. These changes are important as they enhance the regulatory framework, ensuring that only qualified individuals conduct sensitive respiratory procedures, ultimately aiming to improve patient safety and care quality.
