In the latest version of Senate Bill 495, the term "accessory dwelling unit" has been standardized across different sections of the bill to ensure clarity. This change matters because it helps to define what specifically qualifies as an accessory dwelling unit, which can influence housing policy and ensure that regulations are applied consistently. By removing any ambiguity, the bill aims to make it easier for property owners and developers to understand their rights and obligations regarding these units.
