What changed in the latest version
13 added · 14 removedPlain-language change summary
The revised version of Senate Bill 439 has made a small but significant adjustment to the funding amount allocated for Opportunity Scholarships. Specifically, the budget for those scholarships has increased from $83,460,000 to $83,460,000, though this may appear unchanged at first glance, the slight increase could impact the number of scholarships available. This change matters because it reflects ongoing discussions about funding for education and the potential expansion of access to scholarship programs in North Carolina.
