In the latest version of Senate Bill 792, there were some text corrections and clarifications, but no major changes to the content. The bill continues to focus on allowing remote testimony in court, particularly in cases involving domestic violence. This ability is aimed at protecting witnesses while also ensuring fair legal proceedings, reaffirming that remote testimony can only be used under specific conditions approved by the court. This matters because it helps to balance the legal rights of defendants with the safety and comfort of victims during court cases.
