The updated version of House Bill 167 adds additional sponsors and specifies that firearms must be secured in a locked vehicle. This change emphasizes the importance of ensuring firearms are not only locked away but also made safe with trigger locks or other safety devices when left in unattended vehicles. This matters because it enhances safety measures, potentially reducing the risk of firearms falling into the wrong hands.
