Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a truck, not used in combination with another vehicle and used exclusively for the delivery of propane fuel, may, when laden, transmit upon a road surface a maximum weight of 22,000 pounds on a single axle or 40,000 on a tandem axle.

What changed in the latest version
13 added · 30 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill HB 232 now includes specific provisions about weight limits for trucks delivering propane fuel. It allows these trucks to legally carry up to 22,000 pounds on a single axle and 40,000 pounds on a tandem axle when they are loaded. This change is important because it helps ensure that propane delivery trucks can operate efficiently without facing penalties for exceeding current weight limits, which can facilitate smoother operations in this crucial industry.
