Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill HB 1407 changes the supervision of veterinary staff from "indirect supervision" to "direct supervision" by veterinarians. This is significant because it ensures that veterinary assistants or technicians must work more closely with licensed veterinarians, potentially improving the quality of care for animals.
