Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 637 now requires that all health insurance coverage provided by self-insuring counties must include specific post-mastectomy care and several other types of health benefits. This change ensures that if county employees are covered under these self-insurance plans, they receive essential medical support, which aligns with existing state insurance regulations. This matters because it expands health care protections for county employees and guarantees that crucial services are not overlooked in their health plans.
