Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 2872 adds a specific definition for “airport" and clarifies that any related transactions must comply with federal laws and regulations. It also ensures that the terms used in the bill align with other existing laws about municipalities and local governments. These changes matter because they aim to provide clearer guidelines on property tax exemptions for local government leases, which could impact how municipalities manage and lease their properties, particularly in relation to airports and waste management.
