Plain-language change summary

The amended version of HB 5386 includes specific requirements for the number of children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder who will benefit from the proposed services in each year of implementation. It outlines targets, starting with a minimum of 800 children in the first year and escalating to 3,350 by the third year. This change is significant because it ensures that a substantial number of children will receive necessary treatments and support, especially those from families who may not qualify for medical assistance otherwise.
