The amended version of Bill SB 183 introduces new requirements regarding the insurance coverage that plumbing contractors must maintain, specifically addressing the amounts for general liability and workers' compensation. It removes some previously detailed provisions, streamlining the requirements to make them clearer and more straightforward. This change matters because it aims to ensure that plumbing contractors have adequate insurance protection while also reducing administrative complexity, which could help more contractors stay compliant.
