Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill HB 2048 clarify rules around meetings for residential nonprofit homeowners associations and cooperative corporations with 24 or more units. Now, meetings must be open to all members, allowing them the right to record the proceedings, although certain topics like pending litigation or employee matters can be discussed privately. This change is important as it promotes transparency and accountability within these organizations, ensuring that members have access to critical information about how their communities are managed.
